Steve McShane comes from a family of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and has found his passion in emerging agricultural technology (agtech) in the Salinas Valley. Steve's experience includes  leadership roles in liquid organic fertilizers, vegetable processing, insect agriculture and the retail garden center business.  Steve has served nearly thirty years in appointed and elected roles at the local and state levels.  He served four terms  on the Salinas City Council. He is a co-founder and Past-Chair of Central Coast Community Energy and Past - Chair of the California Vanpool Authority. Steve served as chair of the Monterey Bay Air Resources District and served as Chair of the California State Nursery Advisory Board and Vice Chair of the California Postsecondary Education Commission. Steve served as CEO of the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce and co-Founded the Salinas Valley Ag Tech Summit in 2013. Steve has a BS in Soil Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and an MBA with a concentration in Agribusiness from Santa Clara University. Steve is married to Danielle and they have two children, Patrick and Molly. They love to travel, hike and garden together.
